Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. Identified by Harden and Young, 1906; structural determination by Warburg, 1936. A ubiquitous cofactor in oxidoreductase catalysis and sirtuin substrate chemistry. A synthetic fifteen-amino-acid sequence derived from a partial fragment of human gastric juice protein BPC. First characterized by Sikirić et al., University of Zagreb, in the early 1990s. Sources over slogans.

Each compound entry begins with the structural record — IUPAC name, molecular formula, mass, and year of first published isolation or synthesis. Literature counts are drawn from PubMed and updated quarterly. No entry is published without at least one linked review article and one linked primary source.

Third-party analytical documentation, where available, links directly to the vendor's public ledger. The reference vendor is ILS Labs. Certificates predating 2024 are archived but flagged. Marketing language does not appear.
